How To Meal Prep BBQ Baked Tempeh
This super simple tempeh recipe will help you find your love for this cheap, easy-to-cook vegan protein source.
8 oz (225 g)
package of plain tempeh
BBQ sauce of your choice
I used Trader Joe’s bbq sauce
of ANY green veggies
cooked to your preference with garlic
pasta, quinoa or rice of your choice
Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C)
Prepare the tempeh by slicing it into even strips. Place the strips into a shallow dish and pour the BBQ sauce over them. Toss with a fork to coat and set aside.
While the tempeh marinates, prepare your veggies and carb to go with this meal.
Once you have the other elements of your prep going, place the tempeh strips in a glass dish (make sure the strips aren’t touching) and bake for 15 mins. Flipping is optional. (I didn’t flip mine)
To assemble, divide the tempeh, veggies and carb of your choice into two or three containers, depending on how big you want your meals!
Cool to room temp before placing in the fridge. Eat within 4 days.
